Meet the Physical Therapist
Jordan Cody
Jordan is a dedicated wife, mom, and Physical Therapist with a passion for helping women. As a busy woman juggling all of life’s duties, she understands first hand how hard it is to make time to care for yourself when it feels like there is already not enough time. What is Pelvic Floor Therapy?
Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy & Wellness is a specialized service focused on helping your pelvic floor function at its best. This means assessment of how your pelvic floor is working with the rest of your body to support your every day life, and treatment for the areas you can improve on.
Your pelvic floor is an intricate group of muscles, nerves, ligaments, and fascia that has 5 important jobs including: bowel/bladder function, circulation, sexual function, organ support, and stability. It has to work correctly with your core, movement patterns, and breathing, among other things, to function at its best. Pelvic Floor Therapy & Wellness focuses on targeting the areas you can improve on, based off our assessment, with specific treatments and home programs to incorporate into your daily life.
Treatment can include:
Stretches, exercises, activity modifications
Breathing activities, relaxation techniques
Education on how to adjust your lifestyle to improve your health
Manual therapy techniques such as trigger point release, visceral mobilization, scar tissue release, joint mobilizations, and skin rolling
